"Candid", by definition, refers to something that is honest, sincere and without pretense or reserve. In photography that translates to a shot that captures genuine emotions and expressions with authenticity and often without knowing you're being captured.

 

My name is Kaitlyn and I am the founder of The Kandid and it was the definition that inspired the name of my business, with a little razzle dazzle by spelling it with a K for Kaitlyn of course. I love to approach my photography with honesty, sincerity and without reservation. My goal is to capture my clients in the most genuine ways that bring out your authentic self.

I love to travel and explore. I am a firm believer that adventure is everywhere, both far and wide and right in your own backyard, it's all about perspective. I have 2 dogs that I love more than life, I'm always buying plants and trying desperately not to kill them, and in general I think we should all drink more champagne because life is a celebration.  I'm originally from New York (no, not the city, Upstate in a tiny farm town) and I moved to the beautiful Las Vegas with my best friend on a dare in 2014 (yes, really) and have been enjoying the ride ever since.
